Made these as presents for family. Proud, i am! Each book is a hand-stitched paperback with a glued spine cover. Essentially the Japanese style paperback, but with reinforcing paper under the stitch.
The cover paper on this first one is very soft and is supposed to become more supple as the book is used.
Similar paper, but brown. Color has always been a challenge to me, so i’m experimenting with contrasting spine cover and insert.
I found this stiff cardboard with a shipment. I had to score it so the book would open properly. I love the effect of the spine cover matching the initial inside paper.
